How does a heat pump work?

An air-to-water heat pump collects free energy from ambient air. A fan moves air through the heat exchanger, while the refrigerant circuit lifts the temperature and transfers energy into the heating system. The smaller the difference between outdoor and flow temperature, the more efficiently it operates.

What are COP, SCOP and APF?

COP compares delivered heat with the electricity required at a specific operating point. SCOP describes seasonal average performance, while APF compares annual heat delivery with total system electricity consumption.

Why R290?

R290 propane is a natural refrigerant with a GWP of 3. ACP models use less than 1.3 kg of charge, reducing the climate impact of the circuit while enabling high water temperatures.
